Shri Balaji Sugars is a Private Limited Company started its journey On March 2015.
Shri Balaji Sugars & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. (SBSCPL), incorporated on December 1, 2011 , under the Companies Act, 1956, is a privately held company registered in the state of Karnataka. With Certificate of Incorporation No. U15425KA2011PTC057947, SBSCPL is a visionary initiative led by Mr. Hanamantagoud Patil, Mr. Venkatesh Patil and co-promoters who recognized the abundant availability of sugarcane in the Muddebihal region and the growing demand for power and ethanol.
Driven by a deep understanding of local agricultural dynamics and farmer needs, SBSCPL has established a state-of-the-art integrated sugar mill with a crushing capacity of 10,000 TCD, coupled with an 29 MW co-generation power plant. Strategically located at Yaragal-Madari village, Taluka Muddebihal, District Bijapur, Karnataka, the facility commenced its first trial run in March 2015 and was commissioned in record time within 16–17 months by a dedicated project team and industry experts.
Building on this success, SBSCPL is now set to expand into bioenergy with a 200 KLPD ethanol distillery adjacent to its existing plant. The distillery will utilize molasses and sugar syrup as the primary raw material, with steam and power requirements met through a new slop-fired incineration boiler and back-pressure turbine — a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainable and renewable energy practices.
Recognized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, under IEM No. 3706/SIA/IMO/2011, SBSCPL has already got the environmental approvals through the KSPCB. The promoters deeply value the socio-economic and environmental impact of the project, viewing it as a transformative initiative that benefits local communities, the region, the state, and the nation.
