DWGS

(Distillers Wet Grains with Solubles)

Nutritious Wet Feed for Cattle and Livestock

At Shri Balaji Sugars & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., we make full use of every byproduct in our integrated ethanol plant. DWGS (Distillers Wet Grains with Solubles) is a valuable, protein-rich livestock feed derived from the fermentation residue during ethanol production. Unlike DDGS, DWGS is supplied in moist form, offering a cost-effective and energy-rich feed for nearby dairy farms and cattle growers.

DWGS is primarily used fresh or semi-dried, making it an ideal choice for local farmers and cooperatives near our plant.

What is DWGS?

DWGS is the moist co-product that remains after distillation and separation of ethanol. It contains digestible fiber, protein, amino acids, and other nutrients beneficial to animal health.

Nutritional Composition:

  • Crude Protein: 23–28%

  • Moisture Content: ~50–60%

  • High digestibility and palatability

  • Includes both solid grains and solubles

Advantages of DWGS

Cost-Effective: Cheaper than traditional commercial feeds

🐂 Improves Milk Yield & Weight Gain: Especially in cattle and buffaloes

🚚 Fresh & Local: Best suited for farmers close to the production unit

🌿 Eco-Friendly: Converts agro-industrial waste into valuable nutrition

🧪 Safe for Consumption: Regularly tested for quality and contamination

Recommended Use

DWGS is ideal for:

  • Dairy cattle

  • Beef cattle

  • Sheep and goats

  • Farm-based cattle cooperatives

It can be fed directly or mixed with dry fodder. Regular use improves feed efficiency and reduces the cost per liter of milk produced.
