BPG (Bio-Potash Granules)
Organic Potash Fertilizer for Soil Health and Crop Productivity
At Shri Balaji Sugars & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., our commitment to sustainability extends to soil nourishment. We produce Bio-Potash Granules (BPG) from the ash generated by our slop-fired incineration boilers used in ethanol production. These granules are rich in potassium and essential micronutrients, offering an eco-friendly alternative to chemical potash fertilizers.
BPG plays a key role in enhancing soil fertility and supporting long-term agricultural productivity — all while reducing industrial waste.
What is Bio-Potash Granules?
BPG is created by processing and granulating the boiler ash derived from incinerating spent wash in ethanol production. The result is a dark, dry, free-flowing granular fertilizer that is rich in potassium and naturally occurring minerals.
⚙️ Key Characteristics:
Contains high levels of plant-available potash (K₂O)
Improves soil structure and water retention
Free from synthetic chemicals
Granule form allows uniform spreading
Complies with FCO (Fertilizer Control Order) standards
Benefits of Using BPG
🌾 Promotes Root Development: Potassium boosts root strength and nutrient uptake
💧 Increases Drought Tolerance: Improves plant resistance to water stress
🌱 Enhances Crop Quality: Leads to better grain filling, fruit size, and taste
♻️ Eco-Friendly: Made from renewable, recycled industrial waste
🚜 Cost-Effective: Ideal for sustainable and organic farming practices
Suitable Crops and Usage
BPG is ideal for use in:
Sugarcane
Pulses and oilseeds
Fruits and vegetables
Grains (wheat, rice, maize)
Horticultural and flowering plants
It can be applied directly or mixed with compost, depending on crop requirements.
